STGI Industries was founded as STGI Mining after identifying a need that was becoming increasingly evident in the mining sector: the demand for new technologies capable of anticipating failures before they occurred. This challenge shaped the company’s origins and established a way of working that continues to this day.

The company was founded by Pedro Vásquez, the engineer responsible for its first technological developments, and Jorge Inostroza, an IT entrepreneur who has driven the project from the outset.

Its initial developments focused on the grinding process. At the time, determining a mill’s charge level was a critical challenge, as the only way to know what was happening inside was to stop operations, open the equipment, and inspect it directly. In response, STGI developed its first sensor-based technologies to measure mill fill level without interrupting the process.

The company later incorporated solutions to anticipate failures in conveyor belts, using high-definition industrial cameras and algorithms capable of detecting anomalies before they caused an operational shutdown.

In 2026, this knowledge began to expand into large-scale industry, responding to the needs raised by new productive sectors.

Today, STGI Industries maintains the same purpose that inspired its founding: to develop proprietary technology that solves real-world problems through applied innovation.
